Enjoy the incredible views along with visits from the local wild life. Dolphins, penguins, sunfish and even the odd whale.

Sun Fish (Mola mola)
A once in a lifetime glimpse of the Mola Mola basking on its side at the surface, as it thermally recharging itself before it dives into deeper, colder water in order to feed

Penguins
Watch for the endangered African Penguin floating on the surface before they fly away under the water.

Whales
Whale season is October to February in Cape Town. Keep your eyes peeled for either the Humpback or Southern Right whales.

Sun Set
On a still calm evening there is not much that can beat a sunset at sea.

What to Wear​Comfortable beach wear or exercise clothing that you run or hike in, quick dry clothing works best. Be prepared for sun exposure and wind chill factor while being splashed. If you’re kayaking in cold weather, you’ll also need to dress appropriately. The sea temperature of the Atlantic Ocean is colder in summer (9–14°C), so bring something warm and a change of dry clothes to change into afterwards.

Notes

To avoid not having a fab time by checking the weather forecast, dress appropriately, bring your prescribed allergy medication (asthma pump, allergy tablets, sea sick tablets, insulin etc) along with you. Bring your water bottle, apply sunscreen and stay hydrated.
You must be able to swim.
Please note our cancellation policy states 24 hours notice. If a “no show” occurs, a 100% forfeit.
Dolphins are wild animals and there is no guarantee that you will actually see any dolphins.

We had a fun, family outing with Kayak with Dolphins recently. The kayaks were in good condition and ready for us on the beach, with pre-sized life jackets supplied. After a short briefing we were off, heading along the shoreline towards the Waterfront in calm conditions in which even the inexperienced coped easily. The resident dolphins made their appearance at our turn point near Oceana Boat club and the iconic views of Table Mountain and the seaboard were spectacular. A light headwind picked up on our paddle back to the beach but it wasn't an issue and all arrived back safely. A fun couple of hours out and great to see the city from another perspective! - Marijke
