Kayak Adventure

Cape Town

Activity Description

Cape Kayaks & Adventures has the ideal location to launch and explore the Table Bay coastline from the sea providing unique and spectacular photo opportunities. Our shop is conveniently located at Three Anchor Bay where all our kayaks are stored on the beach. From Three Anchor Bay we embark on a 3 – 5 km journey either towards Granger Bay or Bantry Bay and then we return to the starting point.

The view of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head, Table Mountain, and the 12 Apostles is unforgettable. Uninterrupted views of our spectacular mountain range and the sea breeze will leave you feeling rejuvenated and hungry to taste more of what The Mother City has to offer.

The trip to Granger Bay takes us past the Green Point Lighthouse, the wrecks of the Seafarer and RMS Athens, and one of the favorite hangouts for our endemic Heaviside (Benguela) dolphins. They are common companions to our trips – particularly on summer mornings.

Customer Reviews

I have always wanted to try this out - it was well organized , went off well and enjoyable - Stephen

It was a beautiful experience and highly recommendable! Seeing Cape Town from another angle and just being on the water was amazing. The guides are very skilled and enthusiastic and entertaining as well. We saw penguins, dolphins, a seal and a whale bronzer. It was fantastic! - Anja

Great experience with knowledgeable and professional staff - Shauli

This was a wonderful experience that I had with my son after a few postponements. It was his first trip and my third with Kayak Adventures, and it lived up to my expectations. We saw many dolphins and were rewarded by two of them swimming right under our kayak. - Irvine

Tracy and her team always strike the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, making you feel both well taken care of and as if you're embarking on an exciting adventure with friends. After a brief introduction and a safety and technique briefing, you are led out to one of the most breathtaking views of Cape Town. If you are fortunate, you may also experience some truly remarkable wildlife interactions, from penguins and seals to dolphins; and with a bit of luck, even a sunfish. Timing your visit during the right season may also reward you with the incredible sighting of whales. Even if you are a first-time paddler, I highly recommend adding this experience to your list of must-dos while in Cape Town. - David
