Cape Kayaks & Adventures has the ideal location to launch and explore the Table Mountain Marine Protected Area from the sea providing unique and spectacular photo opportunities. Our shop is conveniently located at Three Anchor Bay Beach where all our kayaks are stored on the beach. From Three Anchor Bay we embark on a 3- 4 km journey either towards Granger Bay or Bantry Bay and then we return to the starting point.
The view of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head, Table Mountain, and the 12 Apostles is unforgettable. Uninterrupted views of our spectacular mountain range and the sea breeze will leave you feeling rejuvenated and hungry to taste more of what The Mother City has to offer.
The trip to Granger Bay takes us past the Green Point Lighthouse, the wrecks of the Seafarer and RMS Athens, and one of the favorite hangouts for our endemic Heaviside (Benguela) dolphins. They are common companions to our trips – particularly on summer mornings.

If you are prone to seasickness please take the necessary medication before arrival, the Atlantic Ocean is always in motion so rather take the medication in case.

(You will have an opportunity to then move your booking or receive a full refund) Vouchers are non-refundable.
We had the most perfect day. The weather was beautiful. Our guide was professional and very friendly. I suggest the rubber stoppers on the paddle to stop the water dripping in the kayak but regardless, we had a great time. We saw dolphins and seals and the view of table mountain was amazing. An unforgettable experience from start to finish. Tracy made a point of personally welcoming us, and our guides, Victoria and Colin, were absolutely amazing throughout the ocean safari. Seeing whales was the perfect ending to an already incredible trip and made it an experience we will never forget. The team was warm, attentive and genuinely passionate about what they do. I have paddled with Cape Kayak Adventures on a number of occasions over the years, so obviously I prefer the experience of kayaking with this company. Kayaking has increased considerably in popularity. My comment here to persons considering what company to use and where to kayak should include looking at the quality of the kayak. The kayaks of Cape Kayak Adventures are real in the sense that they are used by serious kayakers, while noting that the two-seater kayak is very stable. - Richard
