Cape Kayaks & Adventures has the ideal location to launch and explore the Table Mountain Marine Protected Area from the sea providing unique and spectacular photo opportunities. Our shop is conveniently located at Three Anchor Bay Beach where all our kayaks are stored on the beach. From Three Anchor Bay we embark on a 3- 4 km journey either towards Granger Bay or Bantry Bay and then we return to the starting point.
The view of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head, Table Mountain, and the 12 Apostles is unforgettable. Uninterrupted views of our spectacular mountain range and the sea breeze will leave you feeling rejuvenated and hungry to taste more of what The Mother City has to offer.
The trip to Granger Bay takes us past the Green Point Lighthouse, the wrecks of the Seafarer and RMS Athens, and one of the favorite hangouts for our endemic Heaviside (Benguela) dolphins. They are common companions to our trips – particularly on summer mornings.

A MUST activity for anyone who enjoys outdoor adventure. The team at Kayak Adventure was professional, organized, reassuring, and safe. From the initial check-in to the final inspection of the kayak boats upon our return, there was a quiet confidence and genuine warmth that gave us that can do spirit we needed. We are a 70 year old couple with a sense of adventure, yet paddling out into the open Atlantic ocean seemed daunting. There were many support boats with knowledgeable staff who explained SO MUCH about Cape Town, The wildlife we encountered (We saw dolphins, seals, and penguins). What a great bunch of guys, they took us on a nice paddle, we saw dolphins, seals, sunfish, and beautiful views of Cape Town. They were very accomodation making sure my small kids and my mother in law would be quite happy being paddled around and never rushed us. Look forward to doing it again some time! - Jim
